Halloween doesn't have to be all candy, chips and sugary drinks. With a few simple ingredients, you can make creative Halloween snacks that look spooky but are still easy.
This is not about banning sweets. Halloween can be fun and of course chocolate, gummy bears etc. can also be part of it. The idea is rather to change the Halloween table varied snacks with fruit, vegetables, yogurt, oatmeal or nuts to supplement.
The following recipes are deliberately kept simple and some are also suitable for preparing with children.

👻 1. Banana Ghosts
Ingredients for 4 spirits:
- 2 bananas

- Use two small chocolate chips as eyes for each ghost.
- Insert a slightly larger piece of chocolate as the mouth.
- Refrigerate until serving.
Tip: The chocolate is particularly easy to apply with a little melted dark chocolate and a small wooden stick.

🎃 2. Tangerine pumpkins
Ingredients:
- 4 tangerines
- 1 piece of cucumber or celery
Preparation:
- Peel the tangerines carefully.
- Cut cucumber or celery into very small pieces.
- Stick a small piece of each into the top of the tangerine.

👻 My tip for a relaxed Halloween buffet
You don't have to make all twelve recipes. Three to five different snacks are enough.
A nice combination would be, for example:
- 🍊 Mandarin pumpkins
- 👻 Banana Ghosts
- 🥕 Vegetable monsters with pumpkin hummus
- 🕷️ Halloween nut mix
- 🧟 Energy balls
This means you have something fresh, something savory and something sweet on the table.
